HLF Skills for the Future Traineeships Supported by the Heritage Loery Fund, over the next two years the Whitechapel Gallery will be recruing six Trainees per year to work in six different departments, commencing in June 2014. Traineeships focus on high quality, work-based accredited training, with addional in-house workshops, visits to museums, galleries, and archives, and monthly career mentoring sessions. Contracts are for one year, with a £14,500 bursary. On compleon, Trainees are awarded an EDI level 3 diploma in Cultural Heritage. The programme aims to bring new and diverse talent into the heritage sector, and to provide an entry route into cultural employment for those with lile prior work experience.
