Terry Hamer, 34, also of Newbold Cottages, appeared in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court on January 3. A 25-year-old woman who was also arrested has been bailed to return to an east London police station in February pending further enquiries. Whitechapel killing A MAN has been charged with the murder of a woman in Whitechapel. Abdulqadir Abdullah, 34, of Denning Point, Commercial Street, E1, was charged on December 28 with the murder of a 40-year-old woman whose body was found by police the previous day. He is due to appear at the Old Bailey this Tuesday, January, 13. Fire engine crash TWO firefighters were taken to hospital last Tuesday, January 6, after their fire engine from Poplar fire station crashed into a building in Churchill Place, Canary Wharf. The vehicle was responding to reports of a fire in Churchill Place which London Fire Brigade said turned out to be a false alarm. Another firefighter was treated at the scene. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
