Once adopted, the Masterplan will be a material consideration in the determination of planning applications and aims to provide greater certainty for how the area will change for the local community, developers and other key stakeholders. In support of this, LBTH is requesting consultation responses on the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Determination Letter (which concludes that an SEA is required) and the SEA Scoping Report for the South Quay Masterplan. With respect to the SEA Scoping Report, LBTH is keen to understand whether consultees agree with the proposed scope of the Assessment, or whether there is additional information/ assessment required. The consultation is taking place between 15 September and 20 October 2014 (midnight). The restriction on vehicular traffic will enable the essential gas works to be carried out on the public highway by McNicholas. The alternative routes for vehicular traffic will be via Hooper Street, Back Church Lane and Commercial Road and vice versa. Throughout the duration of the works, and at times when the “one way” and “no entry” traffic signs are covered, the existing one way working in Gowers Walk to a point approximately 30 metres, south, from its junction with Commercial Road will be temporarily suspended.
