As part of the Council’s programme of investment in the Idea Stores and libraries, the Grade II listed Bethnal Green Library will soon be undergoing refurbishment and the heating system will be replaced and upgraded. This essential work will be carried out over the next six months and will result in: • an upgraded adult reading space, children’s library, surfing space and improved free WiFi. • better services for the public through the exciting range of in-store and online Idea Store services. • rooms available to hire for local community groups and businesses. The scheduled works mean that the library will be temporarily closed from Monday 20 April until the end of September 2015. Where can I go while the library is temporarily closed? During this time, you will be able to access the full range of library, learning and information services from nearby Idea Store Whitechapel (321 Whitechapel Road, London E1 1BU) and Idea Store Bow (1 Gladstone Place, Roman Road, London E3 5ES). Where can I find out about the works? Information about the scheduled work is on our website www.ideastore.co.uk.
