The club is a member of the Bangladesh Football Association, which won Group of the Year (Below right) A half-term holiday tournament run by the Bangladesh Football Association Grants for young sports men & women TALENTED young sports men and women from Tower Hamlets have until February 20 to apply for grants worth up to £1,250. A £1 million funding pot is being provided by the GLL Sport Foundation, operated by social enterprise GLL and supported by the council. With 76 per cent of awards going to athletes under the age of 21, the scheme works to support the next generation of sporting talent. In 2014, GSF supported 1,500 athletes including 96 from Tower Hamlets. Weightlifting sensation Mercy Brown has benefited from the scheme.
