Sport see back page Sport in brief Mixed fortunes for brothers Lee BROTHERS Stuart and Nicholas Lee, two members of Bethnal Green Karate Club, are two of England’s rising young karate hopes. But their recent appearances for England did not go as planned. Nicholas, 11, who was twice British Peewee champion, had his first junior international contest at the Severn Challenge and finished a creditable third. The Bishop Challoner schoolboy had been ill all week and was even sent home from school 24 hours before the event, but he still insisted on taking part. He was also part of the England side that came second in the team event. Older brother Stuart, 17, who studies at NewVic College in Newham, fought in the knockdown competition, also at the Severn Challenge, a week later. However after his first fight, Stuart was forced to withdraw because he thought he had broken his ribs and was in a lot of pain. Fortunately it turned out to be severe bruising. The Bethnal Green club, where the boys are trained by former international Graham Warden, has just moved back to original dojo at The Glasshouse, Old Ford Road, Bethnal Green and welcomes new members. Mohibur, 39, married with four children aged 20 months to 11, will be challenging for the UK title in Bristol on November 17, and if he is crowned champion then he is in with a chance for being chosen a Great Britain's representative in the world championships in 2015.
