Emotional journeys The Little Paper Slipper explores personal accounts of domestic abuse in the form of a suspended installation. Out & about ENIGMATIC British soul singer Alice Russell (pictured right) will open Canary Wharf’s new After Hours With… series at East Wintergarden later this month. She will be joined on stage by her six-piece band and supported by Gwyn Jay Allen, whose guitar and percussion has graced tracks by the likes of Diana Ross, Maxi Priest and Jamiroquai. Russell has performed at the Montreal Jazz Festival, as well as singing with The Roots in Philadephia and working with David Byrne. Her versatility, in addition to her voice and songwriting talent, has attracted fans as diverse as Gilles Peterson, Massive Attack’s Daddy G and Groove Armada.
