If you are claiming benefits, you may be affected. Households who are not in work or have less than 24 hours work per week will be affected most. The impact of these changes could be serious and some households may no longer be able to afford their current housing costs. Tower Hamlets Council and its partners are helping prepare residents for the Government changes. You can also call our benefits advice line on Free microchipping for your dog DOG owners can get their pets microchipped for free at a series of roadshows this month. The council is teaming up with the Dogs Trust to offer the free service, which ensures that a dog’s owner can be quickly and easily traced if the animal becomes lost or is stolen.
